Gulpembe is a Turkish song made famous throughout the world by rock musician Baris Manco in the late 1980's. The folk song is a favorite in many different forms and countries. Gerard Edery recorded a more traditional version of Gulpembe in his "Two Faiths, One Voice" album, a collaborative work with Maria Krupoves, released in 2008.
